I love this ad by Chipotle—they really are the only major fast food company that is taking a credible stand for sustainable food. While Chipotle certainly is not perfect (serving sizes too big, no upfront nutrition information before you order, and failure to officially sign on to CIW's "Fair Food" program) they are making a difference in a very important way by sourcing more sustainable, locally raised ingredients.

Kudos to Chipolte for buying local, fresh foods to make their burritos. But I think they are masking the high number of calories, fat, carbs and sodium content in each jumbo burrito.

This ad is showing us that Chipotle is trying hard to be conscious of the environmental impact of factory farming, and I appreciate that. It's kind of hard for me to believe, since you simply can't scale a sustainable operation up very much without compromising something, and Chipotle is a huge chain. However, I appreciate that they are exposing the issue of factory farming. I don't like that they make it seem like their hogs are raised on pasture, because they aren't. They are are raised more humanely and hormone- and antiobitic-free, but still eat GMO grains and mostly stay inside, so the image of the pigs hanging out on grass is misleading. I applaud them for trying to make a difference.
